Minimum Brightness on Win7 not as Dim as on Vista?

The brightness setting range is not nearly as wide. The solution is to install the original Vista video drivers, That brings back the full brightness settings, you would lose some of the 2D acceleration brought about by the Win 7 Beta WDDM 1.1 drivers. I haven’t noticed a difference in performance, but higher CPU utilization (due to not having the acceleration) may lead to slightly shorter battery life. On the other hand, you could mitigate this by turning the brightness lower.
