5. Motherboard socket power ATX20 have cold solder joint, poor contact
This failure is not common, but it does exist, mainly in the host normal working hours, and move around ATX20-pin plug, to see whether the host will automatically restart. While also checking the internal 20-pin power plug if there oxidation of the reed, which can easily lead to large contact resistance, poor contact, causing the host crash or restart. Sometimes need to check the rear 20-pin plug connection cable, whether it is firmly K.
Solution:
① If the motherboard solder cold solder joint, direct electric soldering iron repair welding on it. Note: In the right motherboard, hard drives, graphics cards and other computer board welding, it must take a good grounding electric iron, or unplug the power plug welding.
② If it is the power problem, preferably the replacement of a good power supply.
6. CPU problem
Part of the functional circuit in CPU internal is damaged, second-level cache is damaged, the computer will start, or even to enter the normal operation of a normal desktop, but for a particular function will be to restart or crash, painting tables, play VCD, play games.
The solution: try to shield second-level cache(L2) or a cache (L1) in the CMOS, to see whether the operation of the host is normal;or replace a good CPU to exclude. If it can run normal, you can still use it as to save money, although more slowly.
7. Memory Problems
If a chip on the memory is not completely damaged,it’s possible self-test (After all, most of them set up POST), but because of the memory heat large and lead to functional failure then will cause unexpected restart. Most of the time when the memory is damaged to open opportunities for alarm, but also it will not alarm when the memory is damaged. The best way is to use the exclude method to quickly determine the fault position.
